Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division repair work will result in the temporary closure of Interstate 240 at Poplar, including east and westbound lanes, for approximately 30 minutes on Sunday, December 6, starting at 7 a.m.

The temporary closure will allow MLGW to repair an existing overhead electric line. This will require the simultaneous closure of the east and westbound lanes.

The work will last approximately 30 minutes; once completed, normal traffic will resume.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation recommends using SR-385 as an alternate during the repair.
