Water Main Repair To Impact Traffic at Intersection
Of Raleigh LaGrange Rd. and Summer Ave.

(July 8, 2010) - Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division crews are repairing a broken 24-inch water main in the westbound lane of Raleigh LaGrange Road, on the east side of Summer Ave. Traffic flow will be impacted for at least two weeks.
The water main repair work has already started and could take three to four business days to complete. Additional time will be needed for backfilling and asphalting.
Drivers are urged to use caution or take an alternative route to avoid traffic delays. Additional updates will be provided as the repair work continues.
MLGW is the largest three-service public power utility in the nation, serving more than 429,000 customers in Memphis and Shelby County. A January 2010 survey showed that MLGW has the fifth lowest electric rates in the nation.
