Jacksonville Energy Authority released a July 2008 survey of electric rates for major utilities across the country. The survey showed that MLGW customers have some of the lowest rates in the nation. MLGW is the largest three-service public power utility in the nation, serving more than 420,000 customers in Memphis and Shelby County.
