Two New MLGW Gas Main Projects set to begin March 9

Memphis Light, Gas and Water crews will begin work next week at two sites to improve MLGW’s natural gas system. Beginning March 9, gas main construction will start on Front Street from Beale Street to Pontotoc Avenue Downtown and on Central Avenue from Cooper Street to McLean Blvd. in Midtown.
Gas main construction at both locations will affect traffic flow from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Construction is estimated for completion on Front by May 29. The estimated completion date for work on Central is July 31. Visit mlgw.com/gas to learn more about upgrades to MLGW’s natural gas system.
