MLGW is currently working to clear an accident that has all northbound traffic lanes blocked from Hwy 51 to Fite Road. The accident happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. when an MLGW dump truck filled with gravel flipped over on its side.

There were no other vehicles involved and there are no injuries. The clean-up may take until about 8 p.m. to clear. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes. 

MLGW is the largest three-service public power utility in the nation, serving more than 421,000 customers in Memphis and Shelby County.
