Earlier today an underground network fire caused damage to MLGW’s equipment resulting in an extended outage in the southern part of downtown Memphis.
The impacts of this outage are still being experienced by many of our customers in the downtown area. We recognize that the remaining customers have been without power for an extended period of time and we regret the prolonged nature of this outage.
We are working to restore power as quickly and as safely as possible. All customers who were affected by this outage are expected to have power by 10 p.m.
