The Fund Tennessee initiative is made up of multiple programs designed to support small businesses. It started with the U.S. Department of Treasury’s approval of $116.9 million in funding for Tennessee’s State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI). Fund Tennessee includes venture capital, loan programs and technical assistance.

Wisty Pender is the Director of Business Enterprise Resource Officer (BERO) for Tennessee’s Department of Economic and Community Development. She works as an advocate for disadvantaged business enterprises including those that are women-owned, minority-owned and veteran-owned.
Jessica Taveau is the President and CEO of Epicenter, a nonprofit organization that provides local entrepreneurs with equitable access to resources needed to launch and scale businesses in the Memphis, TN region.
