Due to increased call volume, beginning tonight, Memphis Light, Gas and Water is temporarily extending the hours of its Residential Customer Care Center. The Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday until further notice. We will also have Customer Care agents available this Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The number to call is 901-544-6549.
Wait times are averaging 20 minutes or longer. Customers who do not want to wait, may be able to conduct their business using our online tools.
Several types of requests can be handled online:
1. Request payment arrangements through My Account at mlgw.com (If you are not registered for My Account, it is fast and easy. You’ll need a recent MLGW bill to enter your 16-digit account number and six-digit My Account Access Code found in the blue column on the front page of your bill.)
2. View bills, pay bills and verify whether a payment has posted through My Account.
3. Request to start, stop or transfer utility services through our secure webforms at mlgw.com (Select Residential or Commercial, then select Request Service.)
