MLGW Winter Moratorium For Seniors Ends March 1
February 25, 2015

Participating customers are eligible for extended payment plans.

Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division’s Winter Moratorium for seniors ends March 2.

The moratorium provided elderly (60 years or older) and disabled customers with uninterrupted utility service during the coldest months of the year from December 1 to March 1. However, participants were not relieved of their obligation to pay. About 900 customers enrolled.

Those, who have balances on their accounts at the end of the program, will be eligible for an extended payment plan for up to three months upon request. They can contact MLGW Customer Care at (901) 544-6549.

MLGW is the largest three-service public power utility in the nation, serving more than 420,000 customers in Memphis and Shelby County.
