MLGW is installing a new gas system in the Midtown area on Peabody Ave., from Bellevue to Kimbrough. This $1.1 million underground project began on June 11 and will continue until February 2019. 

The installation is a part of MLGW’s 30-year Cast Iron Replacement Program. 

There will be a temporary release of natural gas as services are transferred from the old system to the newly-installed system.
 
Postcards have been mailed to all customers within the project area of impact.

MLGW is the largest three-service public power utility in the nation, serving more than 431,000 customers in Memphis and Shelby County.
