Power restored across Memphis and Shelby County

Power has been restored to Memphis Light, Gas and Water customers affected by the May 18 storm.
Damaging wind and heavy rain lead to downed trees and utility poles. MLGW recorded 40,575 power interruptions as a result of the severe weather with 27,000 customers impacted.
Division crews worked around the clock to repair damage and restore power. Ten outside crews were brought in to assist as were tree trimming professionals. All crews worked as quickly and safely as possible in their restoration efforts.
