Memphis Light, Gas and Water crews are performing repairs that will affect traffic on Poplar Avenue near Redbird Lane. We anticipate repairs to take approximately 3 – 4 weeks, weather permitting.
Starting today, March 4, the far right and center westbound lanes on Poplar Avenue will be closed beginning at 3922 Poplar Avenue and extending to the intersection of Poplar Avenue and Redbird Lane. These closures will remain in place through Wednesday, March 5.
Beginning Thursday morning, March 6, all three westbound lanes on Poplar Avenue from 3922 Poplar Avenue to Poplar Avenue and Redbird Lane will be shifted to the middle lane to accommodate repair work.
Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes where possible. MLGW appreciates the patience of motorists and residents while these essential repairs are completed.
