Memphis Light, Gas and Water will partner with the SoulsvilleUSA Neighborhoods Development District (SNDD) for its annual Martin Luther King Day of Service on Jan. 13, 2022.
Volunteers will work in small groups, delivering free energy kits in the Soulsville community from 8-11:30 a.m. and will be joined by the SNDD “Soul Patrol,” a daily trash pickup effort in SoulsvilleUSA. Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of the J.E. Walker Resource Center located at 1109 Mississippi Blvd.
MLGW will also offer a free EnergySmart Workshop on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022 at 10 a.m. This free workshop is available to all customers and will provide energy efficiency tips. Workshop participants will receive a free energy kit. To register for the workshop, visit: mlgw.com/MLKdayofservice.
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. inspired day of service is one of several community outreach events Division employees participate in annually.
