Memphis Light, Gas and Water has been actively monitoring the weather and preparing for possible outages. MLGW has requested additional trouble shooters and standby personnel, including 30 tree trimming crews. The main threat is forecasted for late Friday night and Saturday morning as a line of potentially strong to severe storms moves through the area.

In the event of outages, customers are instructed to report them to 544-6500. This number, along with the MLGW app, can also provide updates. The emergency line, 528-4465, should be treated like 911 and used only to report gas leaks and electrical wires down.
