Two separate projects to impact Navy Road and Bartlett Road, starting May 27
Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division will begin work on two gas-related projects that will impact traffic in Northeast Shelby County. Both projects will start on May 27.
Crews will be replacing approximately 150 feet of 14 inch transmission main on Navy Road, between Old Raleigh-Millington Road and Easley Avenue. The project will take approximately two to three weeks; the outside eastbound lane will be closed to traffic during construction.
Another crew will start the construction of a four inch gas main project on Bartlett Blvd., starting at the intersection of Stage Road to the south for 1,000 feet. This project will take approximately two weeks to complete. The work will be done at night to minimize traffic flow.
The Bartlett Blvd. project is unrelated to a Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) repaving project on Stage Road, west of this intersection to the east of Fletcher Creek Bridge.
MLGW is the largest three-service public power utility in the nation, serving more than 420,000 customers in Memphis and Shelby County.
