MLGW has several gas cast iron replacement projects planned for the summer months.
MLGW’s Gas Construction and Maintenance area began work on Thomas Street (Highway 51) from Firestone to Plum Avenue for cast iron replacement this week. This project is expected to be completed by August.
On May 7, two more projects will begin, including: Jefferson Avenue from Orleans Street to Dunlap Street for cast iron replacement. This work is expected to be completed in July. Also, MLGW will be working Hillshire Drive from Whitten Road to Tulip Trail Drive for system improvements. This work is expected to be completed in August.
New gas mains will also be installed at each of these locations. Motorist should plan accordingly.
