Learn how and what you can do to ensure a better future for our children and our children's children at the American Association of Blacks in Energy’s (AABE) "Energy Matters Forum: For Our Children's Children." The forum will be held on Thursday, July 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Southwest Tennessee Community College, 737 Union Ave. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required at aabe-tn.ticketleap.com/energymatters2019/details.

• Raumesh Akbari | Tennessee State Senator—Akbari is a member of the Tennessee Senate for the 29th district since 2019. She formerly was a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for the 91st district.
   
• Dr. Nabil Bayakly | Adjunct Professor, University of Memphis | Biological Courses Coordinator, Lemoyne Owen College—Bayakly has published numerous scientific, religious and sociopolitical papers and has been a guest speaker on Islamic and Middle East issues at many prestigious institutions, including Sewanee, Rhodes and Columbia.
   
• Brenda Brickhouse | Tennessee Valley Authority VP, Environment Energy Policy and Chief Sustainability Officer—Brickhouse is responsible for TVA’s environmental management
