Dana Jeanes Selected as Vice President, CFO and Secretary-Treasurer
At its Thursday, September 15 meeting, the MLGW Board of Commissioners
approved the selection of MLGW Controller Dana J. Jeanes as the new MLGW
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Secretary-Treasurer. In his
new position, Jeanes will be responsible for establishing, monitoring
and maintaining company-wide financial and administrative objectives,
policies, programs and practices. Also, he will maintain the official
records of the MLGW Board of Commissioners. Jeanes' selection is subject
to approval of the September 15 MLGW Board of Commissioners meeting
minutes as well as the Memphis City Council.
Jeanes joined MLGW in December 1987 as an Energy Engineer. He held several engineering positions with MLGW before being named Supervisor of Rates & Regulatory Affairs in 1993. In 2000 he was named Assistant Manager, Budget, Plant and Rates; two years later, he was selected Manager. In 2005, Jeanes joined MLGW's Executive Staff as the Director of Analysis, Strategy and Performance, holding that position until he was named MLGW Controller in 2006. As Controller, Jeanes was responsible for directing and overseeing MLGWs accounting activities and departments engaged in general/plant accounting, budgeting and utility rate management.
Jeanes received his bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Christian Brothers University in 1979 and a master of business administration degree with emphasis on finance and accounting from the University of Memphis in 1994.
He is a licensed professional engineer in Tennessee and serves in several industry associations.
