MLGW crews were geared up to assist with disaster relief in North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. Two crews were set to leave September 15 for New Bern, N.C. to help North Carolina Electric. 

The mayor of New Bern has expressed his sincere appreciation and thanks but says they will have more than enough crews to assist them in their recovery efforts at this time.  

Hurricane Florence is a Category 1 storm hovering over the Carolinas right now.
