Work on the Raleigh-Millington Road bridge
August 16, 2013
MLGW crews will continue working next week to install a temporary water main on the Raleigh-Millington Road bridge (between New Allen and Fite) over the Loosahatchie River. Work is expected to be completed by Friday, August 23. The construction will require periodic lane closures and is expected to continue through Friday, though inclement weather could affect the completion date. MLGW workers have reported few traffic issues, but drivers may want to use Singleton Parkway or Highway 51 as alternate routes. The water main will ensure continued water service to North Shelby County while the new bridge is being constructed.
