Blight affects all of us. It can be a cancer killing viable neighborhoods, but resources and organizations can help. Join us as we discuss how Memphis is tackling the disease of blight.
“Shedding Light on Blight” kicks off this year’s EmPOWERING Sustainable Neighborhoods virtual series on Thursday, April 28 at 4 p.m.
Each quarter a new topic will be discussed virtually on Zoom. Host and MLGW’s Vice President of Community and External Affairs Gale Jones Carson will interview Steve Lockwood, interim executive director of the Blight Authority of Memphis, and Eddie Jones, City of Memphis Code Enforcement Supervisor and Shelby County Commissioner.
Register to attend at mlgwneighborhoods.eventbrite.com. Each session is from 4-5 p.m. Be sure to mark your calendar for the remaining 2022 dates:
