MLGW To Deliver 500 Energy Kits On MLK Day: Volunteers Will Go Door-To-Door

To “Be The Dream,” Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division volunteers will spread throughout the Soulsville community and hand out energy conservation kits in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Volunteers will walk door-to-door in the Soulsville community, handing out kits, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Monday, January 20. Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of LeMoyne-Owen College’s CDC Office located at 915 East McLemore.
This is in conjunction with the “Be The Dream” events sponsored by the city of Memphis. At the same time, city volunteers will be working on an anti-blight initiative in the Soulsville community from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on January 20.
