(June 27, 2023, 10 a.m.) – MLGW and contract crews have made good progress safely restoring power to 67,000 of the 120,000+ customers who lost power after Sunday night’s storms. Because of the extensive damage, restoration for 55,000 remaining customers is expected to last multiple days.
With another heat advisory slated for the end of the week, MLGW asks customers without power to put their safety first and rely on friends and family for shelter, if needed.
Crews will work in shifts 24/7 until all customers are restored. MLGW has 69 electric repair crews working to repair damage. They are joined by 40 troubleshooter crews, 79 tree cutting crews, 21 service crews working individual outages and 50 damage assessment crews.
