Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division will partner with Mt. Vernon Baptist Church for its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Friday, January 17, 2025.
Volunteers will deliver utility and energy conservation information in the community surrounding the church, located at 620 Parkrose Avenue in Memphis, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Additionally, a free EnergySmart Workshop will be held at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Participants will receive practical energy-efficiency tips and a free large energy kit.
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is one of several community outreach events that MLGW employees participate in annually.
