Local small business owners, as well as minority-owned, and women-owned enterprises are encouraged to attend. Gale Jones Carson, MLGW’s Vice President of Community and External Affairs, will host Tamara Pate, MLGW’s Supplier Diversity Coordinator, to provide a program overview and details on navigating the process of becoming a supplier.
Rounding out the panel are representatives from W&T Contracting Corporation and Pete Mitchell & Associates Incorporated Insurance Agency. Both companies participate in MLGW’s Supplier Diversity program and can offer a unique, insider’s look at the diversity program and explain how it has impacted their company’s bottom line.

Tamara S. Pate is currently the Supplier Diversity Coordinator of Memphis Light, Gas & Water Division (MLGW), where she assists minority-owned, women-owned, and local small businesses in gaining vital equitable business opportunities through procuring and contracting with MLGW.
Wiley Richards and Terrell Richards are co-presidents of W&T Contracting Corp. and formed their company in 1997. W&T Contracting Corp has worked with MLGW on multiple contracts.
George Hilliard, CIC, CPIA is the president and owner of Pete Mitchell & Associates Inc. He has more than 32 years of insurance and risk management experience.
