MLGW crews headed to Florida for hurricane aid

MLGW crews are preparing to assist with disaster relief in Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael. Two crews are leaving Friday, October 12 for Tallahassee, Florida, to help with restoration efforts. They will leave MLGW’s North Service Center (1060 Tupelo) at 6 a.m.
Hurricane Michael hit the Florida panhandle as a Category 4 storm this week and is continuing to cause major damage and destruction in its path.
MLGW is the largest three-service public power utility in the nation, serving more than 431,000 customers in Memphis and Shelby County.
