Shortly after 10 a.m. today, MLGW experienced an equipment failure within its electrical system affecting several substations in Downtown Memphis.

Approximately 15,000 customers were affected by power outages due to this failure.

Customers affected are located in north Memphis, north downtown and some parts of the south portion of Downtown.

MLGW personnel are currently assessing this situation to retore power as soon as possible.
