Almost 50,000 customers impacted by Friday’s storm
(May 22, 2020, 7 p.m.) – Severe storms and damaging winds moved through Memphis and Shelby County early this evening knocking out power to roughly 50,000 Memphis Light, Gas and Water customers.
Utility crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to everyone affected. They will continue working until service is restored to all customers impacted.
Customers can report outages and get updates on restoration efforts by using MLGW My Account. Customers can also call 544-6500 to report outages and get status updates.
