Lashell Vaughn is Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Memphis Light, Gas and Water. She is responsible for managing information technology services, data security, client services and enterprise resources support.
Vaughn is an expert in information technology and holds over 35 years of experience in client management, application development, data center operation, network/telecommunication services and security and compliance operations. Prior to joining Memphis Light, Gas and Water in 2011, Vaughn served as Vice President of Information Technology for Hilton Worldwide.
Vaughn received a Master’s of Science in computer science from Christian Brothers University and a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Mississippi State University.
Vaughn holds membership in a number of business leadership organizations. She serves on the dean's advisory council for the Mississippi State University Bagley College of Engineering and is Chairman of the Board for the Greater Memphis IT Council. She is also a member of the Institute of Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).
